Rugby Ready Course held at Paviors a resounding success!

On Sunday 24th November we put on a Rugby Ready course at the club for a group of 20 coaches. It’s the first time the RFU allowed us to attempt the course on a Sunday morning and it was a resounding success. The course consisted of 15 of our own and visitors from Lincoln RFC. The course was delivered by a very enthusiastic Garry Rudkin (RFU Community Rugby Coach) and was part class room based and part practical. It was great fun as well as informative.

As a club policy, Paviors expect all coaches, no matter what their playing or non-playing background who are getting involved with our youngsters to have a minimum safety qualification. This is in order for them to offer a quality to the players and their parents. Rugby Ready teaches you the importance of sufficient and appropriate preparation for training and playing while reducing the risk of serious injury.

From here the coaches can go on to look at the coaching pathway provided by the RFU.

The coaches and volunteer parent helpers, worked hard whilst having fun and enjoyment at the same time and this they can pass on to our youngsters.

It was great to see some of our Senior, Academy and Junior players on the course looking to put something back in their Club by Coaching in the Mini’s and Junior sections.

Well done everybody and Thank you.
