Dear Members
At the AGM on 2nd July, attending members voted in a proposal to introduce a new initiative designed to strengthen the long-term future of Paviors RFC.
As part of our commitment to succession planning and futureproofing the club, we will be introducing three new voluntary Assistant Director roles to support our existing board members:
- Assistant Chair (shadowing Chris Eggleshaw)
- Assistant Treasurer (shadowing Phil Molyneux)
- Assistant Director of Rugby (shadowing Pat Billam)
These roles are designed to develop knowledge and experience within the club, and ensure that when key positions become vacant in the future, we have people who understand the role and are ready to step forward.
We know that everyone has busy lives, and volunteering needs to fit around family, work and other commitments. That's why these Assistant Director roles are intended to be flexible, and the time commitment can be shaped to suit both the individual and the needs of the role. You'll be able to:
- Contribute your skills and ideas
- Learn more about how the club is run
- Work alongside experienced volunteers
- Help ensure the continued success of Paviors RFC for many years to come!
Below you will find the role descriptions for each Director position for which we are seeking an Assistant Director. These are intended to give you an overview of the responsibilities of each role. We do not expect Assistant Directors to take on every aspect of the position; instead, the aim is to provide support to the current Director, learn about the role over time, and contribute in a way that fits your skills, interests and availability.

Thank you for your continued support!
Kind regards
Paviors RFC
