In a fiercely contested encounter at the Paviors Rugby Club, the Paviors Horns clashed with the Southwell Bandits. With both sides giving their all, it was the Southwell Bandits who emerged victorious, securing a 29-10 win over the hosts.

Right from the kick-off, it was evident that this match was going to be a battle of wills. The Southwell Bandits wasted no time and took an early lead, landing a try that set the tone for the remainder of the game. This set the base, allowing them to accumulate a total of 29 points through a combination of tries and successful conversions.

The Paviors Horns played valiantly. Their efforts were rewarded with a well-executed try by Adam Gilbert playing at number 9 and a precise penalty kick from Alex Kumra, which garnered them a total of 10 points.

One player who shone brightly amidst the fierce competition was Jake Nye, donning the number 13 jersey for the Paviors Horns. Nye's exceptional performance, marked by astute decision-making and unwavering commitment, rightfully earned him the title of "Man of the Match," a distinction awarded by Southwell in acknowledgment of his outstanding contribution.

However, in the heat of battle, there were moments of indiscretion. Michael Cross Playing at number 8, displaying a rare lapse in judgment, was shown a yellow card for a high tackle. Despite this, Cross's dedication to the team's cause remained undiminished, and his teammates rallied around him during his brief absence from the field. For his part, Cross was bestowed with the "Dee of the Match" award and crown, a reminder that even in moments of setback, every player's contribution is acknowledged to our social rugby team.
