Great support last night for the Academy as they took on Ashbourne in the first ever Friday night Floodlit game at the Club.

The Boys didn't let anyone down and the big crowd were treated to a great game as two evenly matched sides fought out a game that saw Pavs just pip the Derbyshire Club 27-22 but it could have gone either way. 

Both sides were a great credit to their Clubs and all those involved and it was fantastic that Ashbourne made what could have been a difficult journey on a Friday evening to make this happen. We look forward to going over to the Peake District for the return game.

Also fantastic to see many of the First Teamers getting involved ahead of their opening home Midlands Premier clash with Doncasster Phoenix which kicks off at 3.00pm today.

So the appetite for Friday Nights Under The Lights is well and truly whetted, its a great experience for the players, a different atmoshere abounds and if rugby of the quality we saw last night becomess the norm then we atre in for some great nights.
