It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing away of David Kerr

David has had a long association with Paviors through his sons Harry and Oliver both playing for the Club.

He was a key member of the Coaching Team when his eldest son Harry played through from Mini’s to Colts. Harry then went on to represent the First XV. His younger brother Oliver followed the same path and all three are Men of Rugby in the finest traditional style.

David himself played at university and then for Nottingham Corsairs in the days when they were playing top teams from all over the country. A tough second row forward he took no prisoners on the pitch but played the game fairly and afterwards was the first to buy his opposite man a pint and have a chat. That experience helped shape and enhance the rugby and life skills of many Paviors players during his involvement and such men are always greatly missed.

Our thoughts are with Harry & Oliver, their family and friends at such a sad time.

David's funeral will take place at Gedling Crematorium, Catfoot Lane, Lambley NG4 4QH on Friday 2nd August at 2.30pm. Afterwards at the Four Bells in Woodborough
