Cliff Moakes Trophy

Every year we award our prestigious 'Cliff Moakes Trophy’ to a member of the club for their contributions both past and present. We are delighted to announce that this year’s recipient of the ‘Cliff Moakes Trophy’ is Luke ‘Shev’ Majewski.

Shev has been involved in the club since he was 'knee high to a grasshopper', from watching his dad play on a Saturday afternoon to himself being a formidable rugby player; even last season answering the call to play for the First XV at Cleckheaton. However, playing rugby isn't where it ends, and in 2018 along with some other like-minded members, they restarted the Girls Section. From a group of just 7 girls, the section now boasts over 100 girls across four age groups and continues to grow.

Development of the Girls Section and getting girls into sports is so important to Shev, and he volunteers his time each week to go into local schools and coach rugby. If that isn't enough, he is also a member of our Social Committee.

Shev was presented with this accolade on Saturday by Roger Moakes, in memory of his late father, Cliff.

On behalf of the club, we would like to congratulate and thank Shev for all that he has done and continues to do for Paviors.
