Volunteer Opportunity – Senior Rugby Fixture Secretary

Are you organised, a great communicator, and passionate about helping rugby thrive at Paviors? We’re currently looking for a Senior Rugby Fixture Secretary to join our team of dedicated volunteers and play a vital part in keeping the season running smoothly.

About the Role
As Senior Rugby Fixture Secretary, you’ll take responsibility for coordinating all league, cup, and friendly matches for our Senior teams. You’ll also be the main contact for all internal and external fixture enquiries.

Key Responsibilities Include:
1. Fixture Coordination

• Compile a full fixture list for all Senior teams, including league and merit table commitments.

• Finalise the first draft of the fixture schedule by July each season.

• Plan ahead to manage fixture congestion and ensure pitch availability.

2. Clear Communication

• Confirm all fixtures with opponents at least 5 days before match day.

• Share kick-off times, directions, and other key details with opposition clubs and our team managers.

• Keep our referee coordinator, ground team, and bar/kitchen manager informed.

3. Flexibility and Problem Solving

• Manage fixture changes, cancellations, and replacements as needed.

• Ensure all parties are kept in the loop if changes occur.

• Be the go-to person for fixture-related queries throughout the season.

If you’re enthusiastic, organised, reliable, and have strong communication skills – we’d love to hear from you. You don’t need to be an expert in fixtures (yet!) – full training and support will be provided.

This is a fantastic way to get more involved with the club and support the game behind the scenes.
